I provide tuition for guitar (electric and acoustic), and bass. I always make lessons fun, with 30 years of playing experience and having taught my first student in 1993. I possess an extensive knowledge of music theory and harmony, and have a home studio setup for teaching and recording. Lessons can also take place at your home for a small travel fee, or using Skype for students who are not on the Sunshine Coast.My music lessons help students get the FACCTS. (Fun, Achievement, Confidence, Creativity and Teamwork.) - to discover and enjoy making music, and explore their abilities to learn a new skill. I teach all styles, from kids aged 6 upwards learning the basics, to pop, rock, blues and jazz.The fastest way to progress as a student is to practice at home, building the muscle (including brain) memory - so to ignite the passion for playing, I teach tunes that the student loves, right from the start. We gently incorporate technique and music theory through those tunes, as well as through exercises that ensure that they become a well-rounded musician. I am a registered AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) enroller and will help you or your child prepare and pass AMEB or "rock school" music grades.The learning environment at my Diddillibah studio is relaxed but professional, with free wi-fi available and I possess a current QLD "Working with Children" Blue Card.As a student, at the end of each term you receive a professionally recorded and mixed MP3 recording of a song that you have learned. You can use this to track your progress and play to your family, friends or the world! I will also keep a log of your progress and set weekly homework to keep you moving forward on your musical journey.Price is $20 for small group (2-3 students) lessons and $30 for individual lessons. Group lessons are a popular choice as they are lots of fun through being in a team.
