Mount Ousley Pre-School has been established since 1972 and has been owned and operated by Shelley Zipparo since 1994. During this time the centre has passed many accreditation visits, receiving high quality ratings. In 2008 the service had a major upgrade with the addition of new softfall, shade and one of Read More...the biggest sand pits you will see. The upgrades did not just include physical work, Shelley has also completed a Bachelor in education, meaning the centre has a university qualified teacher available to children and educators. This helps to ensure that we have kept up to date with the latest research, teaching methods and theories regarding the education of children within this age group and we have also fully embraced the Early Years Learning Framework, which is currently the National Framework for children aged 0 to 5. We have also adopted online technology to allow families access to their children's individual portfolios and our educational programs at their leisure. We accept enrolments from children who are 2 until school age and educators have extensive experience with children who have additional needs, including children who do not speak English. We pride our self on the sense of belonging that children get when they are at the service and the close relationships that educators form with the children and their families. Our team of experienced educators provide positive role models for children as we demonstrate teamwork and positive interactions with the children and each other. We believe that our interactions with children are essential and it is the way that we speak, question and interact with children as they play that helps them to learn. We able to offer eligible families child care benefit and the 50 per cent cash rebate and our rates are very reasonable. We are open from 8am to 5pm, 52 weeks of the year.
